Several tegu clutches have been collected so far and we are very excited to see what these pairings will bring. Blues, Hybrids, Blue Crosses, Albinos and all mixed between is what we have so far.
A few people have asked for pics of blues and the breeders. Here are some current pics of most of our breeders for this years blue babies. Please feel free to look at the other photos on the site for previous pics of our blue line. If you have any other questions or to purchase a baby blue please email us at: hectorshabitat@gmail.com.
These hybrids are the result of several breedings: beginning with the Blue Cross which was bred to a Red female. One of those males we raised and now this year we crossed the Hybrid male to an Albino Blue female to get these amazing little albino hybrid tegus(Click Here to see parents). The contrasting colors really pop on these guys and are all plump eating very well enjoying the Florida weather. These babies are $2800 shipped. Please contact us with any questions.
Hybrid babies - $250, plus shipping: Father(Blue Tegu) X Mother(Hybrid Tegu - Blue Cross/Red)
These babies are doing great showing a wide variation of color and pattern as they usually do. Growing quickly eating crickets and ground meat mix. This year I tried S.I.M containers for a few tegu clutches. One of the main advantages I can see is no eggs dried out. I like the no contact as well since if one egg goes bad it's harder for it to spread to the others. For Sale --> Blue Cross Tegus: $250 shipped.
These babies are doing great eating ground whole chicken mix I grind with bone and add croc diet, crickets and ready to ship. They are captive bred and born from a pair I raised from babies. The father is a blue cross(Omega) and the female is also a blue cross, both show light coloration through out, and the babies should grow to be some awesome looking adults. The babies raised last year turned out to be awesome looking, take a look at F2 pics for more examples. Please feel free to contact me with any questions. These babies are doing great eating ground whole chicken mix I grind with bone and add croc diet, crickets and ready to ship. They are captive bred and born from a pair I raised from babies. The father is a pure blue(actually blue) and the female is a F2 blue/BW, both show light coloration through out, and the babies should grow to be some awesome looking adults. These guys look more like blue babies than black and white as they are 75% blue and 25% black and white. Please feel free to contact me with any questions. Regards, Hector hectorshabitat@gmail.com www.hectorshabitat.com www.facebook.com/HectorsHabitat I was fortunate this year to produce some very nice albino blue tegus and have decided to make a few available. The first albino blue tegu baby ready to ship now, comes from pure blue parents and is doing quite well hatched 8/8/14. My most recent clutch hatched starting 8/28/14 also had a few albino blues which came from the same father and different blue female. I will make these available in a few weeks to make sure they are growing and eating well.
Price: $2500 shipped. We also currently still have the following baby tegus available: Hybrids (Blue/Red/BW(chaco)) = $250 shipped Blue Crosses = $250 shipped After a second shed this little fatty looks pretty sweet. It's hard to capture all the coloring it has but it's very vibrant. I can't wait to see how these turn out in a few months. Was taking some pictures of some other babies so I figured I would get some new ones of the albino blue. He seems to be doing quite well eating and growing. The pattern on his back has already changed. These babies are looking great, came out of the egg ready to pound food. All are eating voraciously on crickets , ground turkey mixed with chopped chicken parts, and veggies. The father is a brother to Omega(my blue cross male father to the blue cross babies) and the mother is a female I acquired as a sub-adult and was told it was Red/Blue cross but I'm not certain on that and want to be clear. Regardless, I chose to cross this female for her high white contrast to a very beautiful blue cross male in hopes to have some unique hybrid babies with great color and disposition.
They should be ready to ship out next week and I will be bringing some to the Daytona National Breeder Expo. They are priced at $250 shipped. I went to check on the blue tegu eggs in the incubator this morning and went from being relaxed to crazy excited. To my surprise one large albino baby tegu amongst some other very dark siblings. This came from a female blue who is actually the mother of last season's blue cross tegus, and the father was a blue tegu from Ty. Hopefully this very rare creature grows to be a beautiful healthy tegu.
They are captive bred and born from a pair I raised from babies. See breeding pics for more photos. These guys are showing awesome color variation already and should be some sweet looking adults. They are $225, plus shipping I use FedEx Priority overnight. Please feel free to contact me with any questions.
